Albert worked hard all his life. He started out working the fields with his parents on a farm in Georgia, they grew everything from corn to watermelon and sold them to the market. He was asked to take some time off of school each week to help with the war effort by raising cotton during world war II. He went on to the military and boxed in inter-service matches and traveled the world. While he tried a few professions from professional boxer to Atlanta police officer to working in a rock quarry, he loved working in construction the most. His contributions in construction can be seen throughout the Chicago skyline. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them, even working post-retirement.
