Alfred Renzetti, 90, of Addison. Al, as he was known to everyone, was unpretentious, with an infectious smile and hearty laugh. Early employment in his father’s Chicago bar gave him an appreciation for the value of hard work and an appetite for good food. He later attended Lake Forest College, where he studied business and made lifelong friends, as he did at every phase of his life. In 1966, he married Sue Renzetti (nee Meyer), settling in Addison with her two sons, Brad and Tom, and adding a fifth family member in 1967, with the birth of son Rob. Al was an avid golfer and longtime member of Rolling Green Country Club. He also had a lifelong affinity for American cars. Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 33 years, Sue, and sons Brad and Tom. He is survived by his son Rob, daughters-in-law Tracy and Annie, longtime companion Sue Krauss, grandchildren Amy, Jason and Nina, and great grandchildren Emma Sue, Faith, and David. Visitation at Humes Funeral Home in Addison from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3. Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks. Burial will be private. Loving family member and friend, you will be missed.
