Antonia Marie Mascenic

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonia "Toni" Mascenic, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who peacefully left us on March 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments.

Toni is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Mascenic, and their four adult children: Joseph Mascenic, James (Pam) Mascenic, Marcy (Timm) Carr, and Jessica Mascenic (Hector Vazquez Bueno). She was the proud grandmother of Allison (Josh) Decker, Zachary Mascenic, Timothy Carr III, and Benjamin Carr. Toni is also survived by her siblings, Thomas (Donna) Tovello and Pamela Tovello.

Born August 16, 1945, in Melrose Park, Illinois, Antonia Marie Tovello married the love of her life, Joseph Mascenic, on June 16, 1964. She worked as an Executive Assistant at United Airlines, where she retired after many years of service. Prior to that, she worked at Beeline Fashion in Bensenville for several years.

Toni was passionate about traveling the world with Joe, friends, and family. Her generosity and kindness were felt by all, and she made everyone feel at home, often insisting they call her "Mom" and always encouraging everyone to have something to eat. She had a deep love for Elvis, Minions, and Dachshund puppies, especially her two beloved dogs, Pepper and Daizy. Toni was also a devoted Christian and was deeply involved in her church St. John UCC of Melrose Park throughout her adult life.

Toni was a woman who brought joy to everyone around her, and her presence will be deeply missed. She was loved by many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
