Dominic John Froio

Dominic John Froio, age 92, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of WW2. He also served the Village of Bloomingdale as Village Trustee and was an author of the local news column, “The Bloomingdale Merry Go Round.” He was a philanthropist donating generously to many deserving local, national, and international organizations.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Vincent and Elizabeth Froio, all of his brothers and sisters, and his precious, beloved daughter, Donna Beth. He is survived by his dear friends, Russell and Elaine Kosey and Richard Frueh. Despite the incredible obstacles, since 1979, to honor Donna Beth he dedicated his all to aid the poor and forgotten children of Mexico.

Visitation Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St. Addison, from 9am to 11am with funeral immediately following. Interment Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
