Henryka Bartyzel

Henryka Bartyzel nee Czuj, 79 of Addison. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of Krystyna (Joseph) Angeloni and Anna (Thomas, Sr.) Mandra. Cherished Babcia of Joseph Angeloni, Alexandra Angeloni, Thomas Mandra, Jr. and Nicholas Mandra. Fond sister of Jozefa Szumilas and the late Stanislaw, Bronislaw, Franciszek, Kazimierz, Janina Der, and Genowefa Czuj. Dear aunt of Mariola Kordek and Zofia Sitko. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in the US and Poland. 

Born and raised in Pawlowiczki, Poland, she immigrated to the US in 1963, originally settled in Chicago, and married in 1967. She worked for Florsheim Shoes, Zenith, and then Brachs Candy Company as a Quality Assurance Inspector until her retirement. She later became a part-time school crossing guard for Andy Frain where she worked at the Addison Public schools. She was a proud member of Klub Niedzieliska, when her husband was the President, and loved spending time with family & friends, gardening, reading, dancing, and watching her favorite shows, most notably General Hospital. She especially loved Christmastime, her grandchildren, and her dog Rex. 

Visitation Sunday, 3-7 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. of Rt. 53). Funeral Service Monday, 9:15 AM from Humes Funeral Home to St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1233 W. Holtz Avenue, Addison, for Mass at 10 AM. Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
