Addison

James Patrick “Pat” Harpold, 83 of Addison, passed on Saturday,December 18, from Parkinsons Disease. Pat  grew up in Richland Center. He began working at a young age, delivering newspapers, working in his family's store and for a local butcher. Later, he enlisted in the army reserve, attended business school and then sold shoes at a famous shoe store chain. Pat met his bride, Marilyn. He went to work for her family business, Simplomatic Manufacturing. Pat ran "the shop" and eventually earned an executive leadership and sales role. He prided his success on building valuable trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

Hobbyist:  Pat always had a hobby!  Certainly the most notable was his passion for fruit trees. He spent countless hours at Paddy's Apple Patch in Woodstock. His orchard was a labor of love and his peaceful place. Pat talked about Apples like Bubba Gump talked about Shrimp. Unsolicited Advice: Always combine Jonagold and Granny Smith for the best pie.

Kind Neighbor and friend: Pat was a kind and thoughtful neighbor who enjoyed daily walks, stopping to talk to anyone in the neighborhood who was up for conversation. He was always extending a helping hand, a trait that led to many friendships.

Cheerful Servant.  Pat was a man of deep Catholic faith.

Pat was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn. Loving father of Dan (Kris) Harpold and the late Jackie Harpold. Cherished grandfather of Tyler. Dear twin brother of Michael (Elaine) Harpold and brother to Mary Schwarz, the late Tim (Jane) Harpold and the late Anne (George) Huntley. Dearest uncle of Sarah (Mike) Dietz and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
