Joanne A. McCampbell

Joanne A. McCampbell, 90 of Bensenville formerly of Addison, IL, died February 10th at her home, surrounded by family and loved ones.   

She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Alice Clark, and her sister Joyce Thomas.

She is survived by her brother John (Pam) Clark, three daughters, Pam McCampbell, Linda (Ed) Moritz, and Laurie (Mark) Hartwig.   Seven grandchildren, Matthew (Renee) Tomasone, Mechelle Sanders, Michael (Georgia) Hartwig, Raymond (Kaitlyn) Hartwig, Marcus (Hanna) Moritz, Allison (Sean) Boland, and Heidi (Grant) Harbecke.  Five great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews.

Joanne was a resident of Addison from 1965 – 2014, and Bensenville since 2014.  She worked for Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for over 30 years as an OB/GYN nurse and then moved to Ambulatory Day Surgery.  She finished her nursing career working in a doctor’s office until 2008.

She was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Addison and a follower of Jesus Christ.  She enjoyed traveling with her friends after retirement, loved to read and enjoyed family time!

She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, February 24, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., with a 3:30 p.m. Memorial Service at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. of Rt. 53).  Interment private.
