Joseph Vincent Lajewski, 69, passed away on January 31, 2023. Joe is survived by his beloved wife Brenda and loving son, Joey. Joe was a peace-loving man of faith who always spoke the truth. Joe was a big sports fan, an avid bowler and loved to bet on the horses. Joe had a passion for music and dancing and his favorites included Elvis, country, rock and roll, Motown and so much more! A favorite pastime of his was to sit back and watch classic old black and white movies. More than anything else, Joe loved his family with a love that knew no bounds and had an affinity for attracting friends whom he cherished with all his heart.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joanne and Lawrence Lajewski, Sr, brother Larry Lajewski, Jr., nieces Lisa Quirk and Jordan Lajewski, father-in-law Sonny Martin, mother-in-law Willetta Martin, brothers-in-law Darrell and Michael Martin, and sister-in-law Linda Merritt.
He is survived by his sister, Karen (Paul) Quirk, brothers Robert (Camille) Lajewski, and James (Jennifer) Lajewski. Also, brothers-in-law Robbie Martin, Danny (Sabrina) Martin and David Martin and sister-in-law Susie (Carl) Daughtry and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation Sunday, February 5th from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake Street, Addison (2 miles west of Rt. 83, 2 miles east of Rt. 53).
Prayers 9:30 a.m., Monday, February 6th from Humes Funeral Home to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 330 East Fullerton Avenue, Addison for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment private.
