Joseph Anthony Novello

Joseph Anthony Novello, born 12/15/54 in Chicago, IL.
He will be forever loved by his family; Wife; Debbie Novello, Children; Anita Kimbler (Husband Pat), Bryan Novello (wife Mel), Crystal Segovia, his Grandchildren;
Zakary, Ariel and Patrick, Caleb, Jordan, Brendon and Ethan and Joey and Gwen and Brother; Tom Novello (wife Bonnie).
From heaven: His father and mother Sam & Lena Novello and  his brother Vince Novello (wife Katie) and their daughter Stephanie.
And he will live on in the hearts of his nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. And of course, his dog, Bodhi.

Joe was a proud US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Midway. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed tinkering in the garage and building things around the house. He could fix just about anything and looked forward to the challenge. Joe’s biggest love was his family. He was in his glory riding his motorcycle with is wife, Debbie, who he was married to for 43 years. Later in life he joined the corporate world where he made a whole new family, whom he loved very much. He was a certified scuba diver and loved that world and the friends he made.  Joe was very funny and loved to laugh. His hobbies included sitting on the edge of his bed and playing his guitar, watching The Food Network and shows about Big Foot, and Star Wars. His grandchildren were his world. He spent as much time as he could fishing with his grand kids, camping, watching football and going to their sporting events. He loved getting together with his friends, grilling and gathering as often as he could, and finding the best fish fry during Lent.

He would not want us to be sad. He will rest easier as we find a reason to smile or laugh. Please honor Joe by finding the brightness in every day.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 1-4 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. of Rt. 53)
