Patrick Roy Gannon

Patrick Roy Gannon passed away Tuesday, Jan 8, 2019. He was born Feb 2, 1942 and was a resident of Itasca for 43 years. Married to Diane (nee Hoffmann) for 50 years, loving father to Patrick M., Kerry (Rocky) Sainato, Colleen (Don) Butler. Cherished grandfather of 5 and great-grand father of 1, but to Lindsey, Brynn, Shannon, Kassidy, Nicholas and Autumn, he is their Poppy. He was brother to the late Robert, and sister to Corinne (the late Raymond) Flemm. In 1986 he started a tradition by vacationing each November in Marco Island, Fl. starting with his wife and children and then all his grandkids and great-grand daughter where happy memories were made.

He touched our lives with his big Irish personality and he would cry at a drop of a hat when thinking of happy family events. He was so very proud of his family and we can only be grateful that we had Pat’s larger than life love in our lives.

Memorial Visitation Sunday 2-5 PM, with a Memorial Funeral Service at 4 PM at Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison (2 Mi. W. of Rt. 83, 2 Mi. E. of Rt. 53). Interment private. For info, www.HumesFH.com or 630.628.8808.
